Winch Design is a unique and special place to work. Our Founders, Andrew and Jane Winch, built the business on the principle that our people should be at the heart of everything we do. In 2021 this long-established principle was cemented by tangibly handing over ownership of the business to our employee owners allowing each and every one of us to have a voice and benefit from our success.

OUR MILESTONE MOMENTS

2024

After 38 years in Barnes we relocated to Parklife in Putney, bringing all 150 employees under one roof.

2023

We delivered the iconic OWO Penthouse project in London.


2021

We became an Employee Owned business with Andrew Winch continuing as Founder and Trustee Director.

2016

We became Winch Design and celebrated our 30th anniversary by launching the London to Monaco charity cycle event.

2002

Our first private aviation project, a Boeing Business Jet 737, was delivered.

1986

Andrew Winch Designs was founded by Andrew and Jane Winch in June 1986.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

A PERSONAL APPROACH

We love working directly with candidates so we can get to know each other from the very start. We’re here to understand what you’re looking for and encourage you to ask plenty of questions to see if Winch Design feels like the right fit for you. We stay in touch with people—whether you’re actively searching or just curious—so when the perfect role comes up, you’re already part of the conversation.

VIRTUAL AND FACE TO FACE MEETINGS

First interviews are virtual with our HR team to explore your experience and introduce life at Winch Design. Second virtual meetings are with the hiring manager, who will discuss the role in detail and how it aligns with your background. The final stage is face-to-face, giving candidates the chance to experience the studio atmosphere before final decisions are made.

TIMELINES AND COMMUNICATION

While no two hires are identical, we aim to follow a consistent process and pace for each vacancy. Timelines may vary by role—sometimes fixed, sometimes flexible due to factors beyond our control. We strive to keep all candidates informed at every stage and provide feedback after each interview, while also welcoming your thoughts and questions throughout the process.
